EQ: It is not so much what thee need to know, but what thee need
to be doing. It be important now for each and every one of thee
to examine, first, thy concept of power, thy perception of thy own
powerfulness or powerlessness, and how thee use this thing in thy
life. For, without knowing these things within self, how can thee
possibly choose entities to lead thee, entities that thee are giving
thy power to? Without understanding thy own beliefs of power and
what should be done with it, thee will always give up thy power, and
most of the time for the lesser good. Dost thou all
understand? This is it.
You said that it is important to have personal power. Is it
important to have power over other people?
EQ: Dost thou really believe that thee truly have power over
anyone else?
That’s what my question is. Does it make any sense?
EQ: We believe that there are entities upon Terra that choose to
give up their power to others for various reasons. One reason
might be because the entity is afraid to take care of itself.
Secondarily, one might be because the entity wants someone else to
blame. There are myriad reasons an entity may choose to give up
its power, but we have never seen it done permanently or completely on
Terra. All it does when one begins to believe that another has
taken power from them is it creates chaos, is this not so? So,
would thee really want power over another being?
No. What makes a person powerful?
EQ: We believe that what makes a person powerful is trust in the
Source and belief in itself. Dost thou understand? For, if
thee believe in thyself and trust the Source, can anything be taken
from thee? For, then thee understand that everything that thee
think is outside of thee is an illusion. So, when it is taken,
thee have lost nothing. Is this not so?
This power that you’re talking about is gained through meditation?
EQ: We can not prescribe for thee the way that any entity will
come upon this knowing. For some, perhaps meditation. For
others, it is a knowing from birth. For others it is a treading
of rough ground that tempers the soul. Dost thou
understand? What ever way each entity chooses to perceive its
power is the right way.
Is it possible to empower somebody else?
EQ: No.
Is it possible to enlighten somebody else to an understanding of
their own divine nature?
EQ: It is powerful to say the words, but it is not always
possible for those words to be heard by another entity. Dost thou
understand?
Yes.
EQ: Each entity must empower itself. Thee can say the
words, but if the entity can not hear them, it will not empower.
Is it worth trying?
EQ: We believe all good things are worth attempting if thee want
to attempt them, as long as thee are not invested in the result or will
allow thyself to be disrupted by thy expectations. Dost thou
understand?
Yes.
So this is soul connection and not ego?
EQ: No.
No?
EQ: No. We are talking of ego because the soul knows it is
powerful. Does it not?
Ultimately, yes.
EQ: Not ultimately. The soul remembers that it is connected
directly with the Source. Is there more power than that? It
is the ego that has lost the memory of that, that is consistently
searching for something to bolster it. Is this not so?
Yes.
EQ: It is the ego we speak of, not the soul.
But I thought that we were not supposed to tend too much to the ego .
EQ: What dost thou mean by tend too much to the ego?
This power that you’re talking about - you’re speaking about the
ego. The ego recognizing the power.
EQ: Exactly. Each individual being on this planet has
personal power. Is this not so? They have the power to
perceive the world the way that it can be. They have the power to
act according to this. They have the power to perceive love and
to share it. Is this not so?
The ego?
EQ: The ego. Is this not power?
Yes.
Positive power.
EQ: It is power. Power is either, in thy perception,
positive or negative. But it isn’t. It is power. The
only time thee perceive power as negative is if someone does something
thee don’t like. But we will bet thee if you did it, it would be
good power. Dost thou understand? Power is power. It
is powerlessness that is the mirage, the illusion. It is the way
that the ego maligns itself, hurts itself. Thee can do
this. This is wondrous to watch. Much learning takes
place. This is power too, is it not? Is there not great
power in failure? Is there not great energy in chaos? It’s
a choice. Did we not begin this by saying look at what thee
believe is power? This is what we said first. Is this not
so? Then we said look at thy own power. This is very
important. What dost thou see as power? And then, what dost
thou see as thy own power?
So if we give up, we’re giving up our own power because we’re not
believing in ourselves. Am I saying it right?
EQ: Yes, thee are saying it right, as right as thee can say it
under the circumstances. Because thee can never give up thy
power. What thee are doing is giving up to helplessness.
But we would bet thee if someone still did something thee didn’t like,
thee would fight on some level. So, one never gives up their
power fully, but what thee do is thee forget how to fight. And
sometimes forgetting how to fight, in most circumstances, does not
work. Then the fight becomes destructive to thee.
