On July 2nd, 2004, Equinox was asked,
We speak of free
will, and I think a lot of the people in the world think they have free
will to make choices. Who really has free will?
EQ: The soul. The soul has written the script.
What the entity that is you does is act out the script.
Certainly, thee can improvise as long as thee are improvising in a way
that the soul recognizes as valuable. If thee are not doing what
the soul recognizes as valuable, it puts a stop to it. Does it
not? Walls go up. Situations fail no mater what thee
do. Thy thinking becomes muddied and bad, and then what dost thou
have? What thee create. Dost thou understand? So,
free will is an interesting concept. For the strongest way to
have free will is in thy thinking, because then the soul gets the
opportunity to manifest. Dost thou understand?
The difference between the script and
another term you used for the ego carrying out what the soul has
written, and if you deviate from that to a certain extent, does that
mean deviating from the script?
EQ: No. It is kind of deviating from the script. Let
us explain. If thee are watching a movie, Spiderman, thee have a
general context that that movie should go. Is this not so?
But if all of a sudden the actor that is playing Spiderman decides that
he’s going to be Batman instead, does that work?
No.
EQ: Absolutely not. But if instead Spiderman has a choice
of using his web to fly or jumping across a building, that may still
fit with the movie or play. Is this not so? So this can be
improvised. This is the same with thy life. Thee have a
series of experiences that the soul wants to have. Thee can jump
around in those experiences. Thee can experience them
differently. Thee can even vacate experiencing because thee have
them here [gesturing to head] instead of physically. Dost thou
understand? But thee are still going to follow the soul’s
essential script.
So there is a certain truth to the
idea, and it would be a generalized truth to the idea that there is
such thing as predestination, i.e. “the script”.
EQ: In a very generalized sense. For let us say all the
soul wants to do on this planet, this is the script, it wants to wander
and learn. That’s it. That’s all it wants to do. Can
thee see all the different ways thee could use that script and have
multiple experiences? But thee are still following the script.
So it we are free thinking, how does
one go about shedding the old programming that stops us?
EQ: One of the ways that we would suggest is allowing thyself to
perceive of all possibilities. Most entities on Terra get stuck
in a possibility and it’s usually a fearful one, is this not so?
If thee instead, when thee are having the fearful possibility attach in
thy mind, if thee spend some time in a relaxed state, we believe thee
call this meditation, and instead allow thy mind to wander over all
other possibilities it can possibly come up with, then thee are
changing all the possibilities, are thee not? And if, let’s say,
the one that got stuck that is fearful, we know that the vehicle has
talked about this before, if thee experience it completely, the fear,
the pain, the unease, all of that completely, then isn’t the soul
getting the experience it wants? And if thee do that and then let
go, dost thou need to have it in real life? Absolutely not.
The soul does not care if thee are acting it out or thee are thinking
it out as long as thee go through the entirety of it and release.
Dost thou understand? The world that thee have is a creation of
thy own mind. On Terra it tends to be a creation of millions of
minds. Thee all have the same concept about Terra, do thee
not? So thee are living a mutual consciousness, but that
consciousness can be changed if enough minds begin to perceive another
consciousness. And this is what we are trying to do for thee, to
help thee understand that thee have the power to create whatever world
thee want to live in. Thee have spent too many eons believing in
lack, too many eons believing in pain, too many eons believing in false
promises and fears. This is choice. Everything is
choice. What a wondrous gift. How many beings in this room
believe that they can do what this vehicle does?
I believe it.
EQ: Why aren’t thee?
Why aren’t I? I thought I
was. I thought I was traveling out there…
EQ: No, no, no. We are not talking about traveling.
We are talking about why are thee not capable of living in both
realms. Thee were just saying thee couldn’t. Because thee
do not believe thee can. Most entities on Terra either do not
believe in what she is doing, do not believe they can do it or get lost
in either side of it. Isn’t this so? Then they have to put
“special” on it. Is this not so? It is not special.
She just never knew any better. If somebody had told thee that it
was impossible to drive an automobile, absolutely impossible, thee
would never be able to drive until thee changed that. Is this not
so? How many times after an entity has had an accidental do they
then get in fear and have multiple accidentals or are afraid to get in
the car again? It’s because their consciousness has
shifted. And all of a sudden the fear stops the rote abilities
that they had. Most entities on Terra drive without
thinking. It has become rote, is this not so? Have thee
ever tried to sleep when thee are upset?
It doesn’t work very well.
EQ: Thee can’t because thee forget how. And then once thee
are not sleeping, what happens? Thee can’t sleep sometimes for
days. Is this not so? Because thee go to bed worried that
thee will not be able to again, is this not so? And guess what
happens? Isn’t it wondrous? Look at all the areas of thy
lives that thee play such silly games with thyselves.
We give you a lot of entertainment.
EQ: Thee believe thee can drown so thee get in the water and thee
drown. But, throw a brand new baby in water and what does it do?
Swims.
EQ: It does not believe that it can drown. Thee believe
that eating the wrong things will put weight on thee, but how many
entities that thee know don’t believe that and the weight does not
come? Thee say thee believe in love, but then thee doubt it and
question thy partners, “Do thee love me enough?” What wondrous
minds thee all have. What a blessing it has been for us to
observe thee.
