Can you talk about the media’s place in affecting the mindset of the people and the type of consciousness we put energy into?  I was thinking about things like mad cow disease and that kind of thing.  Once something gets said they make a big deal about it and get a bunch of people behind it.  Can you talk about the programming of the media?
 

EQ:  Do not trust thy media.  If thee can imagine, if thee can begin to perceive this thing, when thee watch a television show…we do not know…let us use…somebody tell us a television show…

 Happy Days

EQ:  Happy Days.  When thee watch Happy Days, thee do not believe this is truth, do thee?  When thee watch thy news, please see it as though it is a sit-com or a dramatic show, because most of it is exploited, most of it is built up.  Because what news is, is it’s a money making device, dost thou understand?

Absolutely.

EQ:  Any time that competition takes place for monies, things get more exploitative, is this not so?  So, if this news channel says, "Oh!  We have this breaking news, and we have found out that this preschool, everybody’s been raping children," then everybody watches that, but it’s never mentioned later that this was disproven.  Because there is nothing…

Sensational

EQ:  …nothing that will draw viewers about "Oh, we were wrong.  Sorry."  Please, please, please be very careful of thy media.  This is why when we say look at other medias, first of all there are medias out there that are not there for ratings.  And these medias are groups that are out there just like - thy country has something called Radio Free America.  Dost thou know what this is?

Yes.

No.

EQ:  Do thee?  Radio stations that broadcast in other countries to tell them what’s really happening, that there is freedom in the world.  There are other countries and other beings out there that make it a point to tell truth.  Find them.  Thee will find thee have one very close.  Canada’s media is very unbiased.  It is that close.  And thee can understand it; thee don’t have to learn a new language.  There are many, many information tools that thee can use besides any media.  When thee read about lack, or, in thy case, mad cow disease, wouldn’t it have been wonderful for all of thee to really understand mad cow disease, how it spreads, how likely are thee to get it, what does it take for it to happen to thee?

Right, because then there would’ve been no scare if people would’ve known all of that, because I guess there was like one cow in a hundred-thousand…

EQ:  Many more than a hundred-thousand, try a hundred-million.

Ok.

Then the price couldn’t have gone up on the beef.

EQ:  Very good.  Take back thy power; thy power lies in knowledge.  It’s that simple!  Thee were told this when you entered the first grade, were thee not?  Learn to read and then read.  Learn to question and then question.  Thy planet has become a group of robots, and this is why so many who are on it are unhappy, because thee have been told that the way to be happy is to continue to buy things.  And does it make thee happy?

No.

EQ:  As soon as thee buy this thing and it becomes slightly old, then thee must buy something else, because that’s what will make thee happy.  And it never works, but it sure helps other people become rich.

Which makes them happy.

EQ:  No.  This is not true.  Have thee studied the rich?  Many kill themselves or they’re drug addicts.  No.

Just because they have a bunch of money doesn’t necessarily make them so happy.

EQ:  No.  Happiness does not lie in things, including money.  Happiness lies in having joy, and joy comes from having an idea that is exciting and holding firm to that idea, whatever it may be.  We believe it’s called having a passion.

And so, you tell one person once you become educated and that should be enough to lift your spirits to keep you going.

EQ:  Or if it isn’t, keep trying.

Because it can be depressing to find out the truth, too.

EQ:  And instead, don’t allow it to be depressing.  Say to thyself, "Oh, wondrous.  Now I know the truth about this, and now I am better capable of making a decision."  It is not good or bad.  It’s truth.  Knowing truth allows thee to make adequate decisions.  Knowing lies only gets thee in bigger trouble, is this not so?  If thee want to convince thyself that eating raisins six times a day with thy ice cream will help thee to decrease thy weight, guess what?  It will work!  It will work.  But if thee instead decide that eating raisins are going to make thee fat, guess what?  That works too.

What about donuts?  If we eat donuts six time a day will that work?

EQ:  If thee believe it.  And if thee do not buy into other people telling thee that thee are nuts.  We have watched entities that are very, very skinny and eat anything they want.  Why is this?

Because they say they can.

The people that are trying to lose weight around me right now are saying, "No matter what I’m doing, it’s not working."

EQ:  Yes.  Everything is belief.  Belief creates reality.  What reality dost thou want, pain, lack, fear, death…

Joy?

EQ:  … joy, connectedness, love, abundance?

Yes, lets do that.
