Are there different types of souls?  We look at humans as having a type of soul.  For many years animals didn’t, now we’re thinking, in some cases, animals do.  The literature refers to "the soul" of something.  Is there a difference in the types of souls that inhabit the variety of things on this planet?
 

EQ:  We would say it is more about a difference in the utilization of the energies.  For humankind upon Terra, their mission is to utilize their energies to grow and bring knowledge, is this not so?  For most of the animal kingdom, their energies are utilized to teach humans lessons, particularly those of unqualified love.  For the plant life upon Terra, its energy is utilized for sustenance, even if it is a plant thee don’t eat, for it is sustenance for the planet itself, is this not so?  So it is not that the souls are different, it is that the energy usage is different.  And these things cannot be altered.  What we mean is, thee cannot attempt to alter thy energy to be an animal.  Not yet, that is not the experience of the planet, dost thou understand?  Thee cannot decide thee are going to be an oak tree, and be an oak tree.  Thee can decide to understand oak trees, but thee will never be one, dost thou understand?  The energy cannot be utilized in a different way once thy soul has determined how it will be utilized.

That brings up an interesting question, because at one point I was told that an animal that was with me…

EQ:  This is different, because it wasn’t really an animal.  It was a human guide taking the form of an animal.  It was not an animal, it was not of complete, unqualified love.  It was of protection, is this not so?  Difference!
