Can you speak about the need for some to believe in a god that is a punishing god?
 

EQ:  Again we would say unto thee, when an entity believes in punishment, does this not then give them the opportunity to be victims?  Dost this not allow them to behave in manners that are irresponsible and know that something else will make them be responsible?  Can thee imagine a world - for we can - in which each entity takes responsibility for their lives and thus does not need anyone to tell them what is good and what is bad?

We all can, right?

EQ:  But many entities cannot.  In their minds they need others to tell them what is appropriate.  And it is not enough to be told what is appropriate, but there must be consequences if thee falter, dost thou understand?  There be not room for mistakes.  Dost thou understand?

Do you think that, because of this war, we’re going to have more of them?  Might those who are kind of lost go more towards that kind of religion and lose more of themselves because they’re not taking responsibility, and they’re looking for someone to tell them what to do?

EQ:  We believe that it is a time of questioning upon Terra.  When entities question, some choose to find their answers through being told what to do and what to believe.  Others begin to seek deeper and find their connection.  So the answer is yes and no.  It will be totally dependent on the entities themselves.
