Based on some of the information we were talking about in the general question, we had talked about before that the dreams that we have, the parts in the dream are all pieces of our ego acting out in the dream.  How does this fit with getting information from an alternative source?
 

EQ:  It depends on what type of dream.  Did we not say that there were many types of dreams, some of which are thy subconscious mind talking and working out problems, some of which are past lives, some of which are messages?  Dreams take many, many, many forms.  It is deciphering which form thee have just experienced that is wondrous.

So, in all of those, it is still the ego acting out every piece of the dream?

EQ:  Not in all of them.  Some of them are a different ego, is that not so?  Some of them are perhaps thy guides talking to thee as a being, usually a being that thee can accept.  It depends on the dream.
