When a soul decides to come back to Terra, it comes with a plan or a road map, and that road map has lots of "Y’s" in it, or forks in the road…
 

EQ:  Or alternative routes, detours…

Exactly.  I’d like to have you explain a little bit about that.

EQ:  It is very simple.  Imagine that thee are planing to take a road trip, let us say to Tucson.  There is a direct route to Tucson, is there not?  But there are lots of back roads that thee can choose to take.  Some of which are dead ends and will never get to Tucson.  So then thee have to backtrack, is this not so?  Others, thee may decide to stay in for a while, for the trip to Tucson is not as much fun as the place that thee have gone.  But at some point thee proceed forward again.  And maybe, because thy perception has changed or maybe there’s an alternative road that has been built that was not there before, thee take a different route again, and again, and again.  This is what happens when thee come to Terra.  Thy soul has some specific experiences it wants to have.  And those experiences create possibilities of new ones, for there are many ways to view an experience, is this not so?  Let us say one of thy experiences is ill health.  But thee do not learn the power of thy own self-healing.  But that is what thy soul wants thee to know.  Then thee may have multitudes of wondrous illnesses to learn this lesson, is this not so?  And thee can get sidetracked in all the other experiences by getting consumed with one lesson.  Or thee can say, "I have a lesson and I am learning it."  And in thy research to learn this lesson thee can say, "I think I want to become a holististic physician."  And on  that path thee may then learn to heal someone else.  Each path produces multitudes of paths.

Each one of those paths with interactions with other souls causes different experiences.

EQ:  Exactly.  So even though there is an initial plan and there are definite experiences that the soul wants to have, this can come in so many ways and varieties.

And so taking that back to "soul mates", the number of soul mates a person can have would represent their relationship to another soul along different paths.

EQ:  And the changes that one makes as thee learn.  For what would be thy soul mate when thee were 18, may not be thy soul mate at 60.  this is why there are many.
